強烈表達很愛國

例 He has refused to respond to the enemy's intimidation. Instead he just warps himself in the flag and talks about how to make a killing.

     他拒絕對敵人的恐嚇做出回應。取而代之地，他強烈表達他有多愛國及談論如何快速發大財。

每到選舉，很多候選人都積極表達自己有多愛台灣。國旗帽、國旗裝、國旗運動裝、國旗bikini、國旗傘、......紛紛出籠。在美國剛好有同樣的慣用語，以相同的方式表達愛國--「wrap (sb) in the flag, 用國旗包裹起來」來「強烈表達很愛國」。

「wrap」的意思是「以布、紙或其他材質包裹起來」，用國旗把自己包裹起來，意思就是自己非常愛國。

「wrap (sb) in the flag」也可以說「drape (sb) in the flag」，「drape」是「將衣物、布或其他物品披掛、搭著」。

今天參謀總長沈一鳴上將不幸直升機墜毀罹難，屆時我們國家將會在沈上將的靈柩上覆蓋國旗 (The general's coffin will be draped with the national flag, 將軍的靈柩將會覆蓋上國旗)，以褒揚他對國家的貢獻。
